Usage statistics for January - December 2023

  • 250 households requested food in 2023;  115 of these were new registrations.

  • 1282 client-visits to the Petawawa Pantry, a 48% increase over 2022. 

  • An average of 106 clients/month came to the Pantry for food in 2023

  • 3166 people benefitted from the food provided (adding all family members for every visit), a 57% increase over 2022.

  • In the past 3 years, there have been 2766 client visits, with 6499 adults and children
    benefitting from the food provided.

  • 33% of individuals relying on food bank services are children under the age of 18 *

  • 43% of households served are single individuals *

  • 24% of households served are single-parent households *

  • 46% of households rely on disability-related support income or social assistance *
     

These * statistics are on-trend with published
provincial and national food insecurity surveys.

 

  • All food donations in 2023: 72,287 lbs

  • Food shared with other groups: 8,793 lbs (includes other food banks and organizations assisting the food-insecure sector)

  • Number of Volunteers: 29 volunteers

  • Number of Board Members: 8 Board members

  • Estimated Number volunteer hours: 5250 hours
